Book layout

These are my design so far, but not doing to say 'Final' as they might change during crit. And I'm still not happy with with holy grail cover. I want to re-look at at it and might change the film cover.

Wizard of Oz

I was going to do design a book cover for Alien but I change it too wizard of Oz. Basically I can't watch scary films.

Donnie Darko

I went back at my last cover designs for Donnie Darko and thought it was too predictable.So I watched the film again taking screen shots like I did on Alice in Wonderland and pick the memorable iconic moments that we relate to the film.

Smurfs conversation is also a classic part of Donnie Darko:

The idea is good but doesn't really have that same strong impacted as the fear and love.

An Donnie Darko fan like me will understand what the fear and love mean scenes is and is one of the classic scene of Donnie Darko. I prefer this design rather the skeleton image.

This design is OK but the fear and love is a lot better.

The book cover idea is to simply the film as simple shapes this is a perfect example what I'm wanting to show. An Iconic part of the film that every body knows what film it is by image and colour.

Idea's so far

Use the coconut image to show the holy Grail book as an iconic symbol.

MONTY PYTHON THE HOLY GRAIL

I have changed life of brian to the holy grail, as I found it hard to find an iconic and strong impact of an image like the jurassic park with the ripples. Life of Brian is of course iconic but as a scripted 'he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy' and 'you have to be different ! i'm not!'.

But i have found some great images I can work with as an cover for the holy grail.

True story that the film couldn't afford horse so they pretend to ride horse with coconuts for sound.

This is an quirky idea of part of my webpage to show info so I wanted an image of myself but not like an usual picture. good laugh to make.

Film book covers

So the first brief I have started and created a few ideas with the same content and theme keep it simple use iconic parts of the film.

I used the part of the ripples of the water when the t-rex is coming. iconic scene in Jurassic park.






Life of brian:
Life of brian was is famous for its lines rather than its image
but still has some gewid (vegetable dotn know how u spell it) and the brian leather slipper.













Donnie Darko:
Used the iconic scene as donnie wearing the bones t-shirt.









Fight Club:
A brilliant film some great scenes but I can't pick out iconic moments making pink soaps and the acid burn on hand scene.







Clockwork Orange:
Iconic eye and hat.
and glass of milk.
